Employment Testing
In today’s competitive business environment, the ability to learn quickly and perform effectively is more important than ever before. One way that FPL has found to identify and assess the abilities and skills needed for certain jobs is through pre-employment testing.
Our pre-employment tests have been shown to be job-related, fair, objective and consistent means to help identify qualified candidates for those jobs. The tests and associated procedures are administered consistently for all candidates. We partner with the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) for several of our employment tests. They include:
- Clerical Aptitude Test
- Keyboard Skills Battery
- Meter Reader Test
- Technical Occupations Selection System (Tech)
- Construction and Skilled Traded Selection System (CAST)
- Power Plant Maintenance Positions Selection System (MASS)
- Plant Operator Selection System (POSS)
